Prior to Lucky Lady V being purchased by Mr Inaba from Japan, Lucky Lady V was previously known as Flying Fish and was owned by Peter Mounsey from Yandina Queensland.

Flying Fish won Div C 1991 Melbourne to Osaka Double Handed Race - crewed by P Mounsey and J Sayer.

She is still a very competitive yacht in Japanese sailing circles - having been modified by Jon Sayer in 1998.
