The Australian owned company, Sayer Yachting Services, is based in Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Jon Sayer is the Managing Director of the Company and is an internationally acclaimed yachtsman, designer and builder.

SYS specialises in custom design and construction, covering racing and fast comfortable cruising yachts, motor sailors, power craft  and catamarans. With well thought out interiors and deck layouts, smart sail plans and balanced handling characteristics, Sayer Yachting Services produces a strong safe boat with superior performance.

Opting for flexibility, we are able to offer clients the choice of engaging SYS to design and/or build a custom yacht or simply build a boat selected from another designer's portfolio.  Meeting our customers' needs is our primary focus

Sayer Yachting Services' Sunshine Coast factory

SYS has recently acquired new factory premises at the Kawana Industrial Precinct on the Sunshine Coast.  Being a tilt slab construction, the building is particularly suited to temperature control - a key factor when using exotics in the construction process.

Jon Sayer has a reputation for designing yachts that are fast, well balanced and strong.  He is a leader in innovative design and technology. 

Jon's knowledge of yacht construction and sailing is reflected in his designs, which are both performance focused  and cost effective.  A Sayer design can fulfill the needs of either the keen racing sailor or cruising yachtsman. 

Jon began his sailing career as a youngster on the waters of Whangarei Harbour, New Zealand.  In  1979 Jon moved to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia, where he has based his yacht design, construction and consultancy business.
